OGTT test on 28 Dec 2009

Finally the test was over and I gain back my taste bud...

When I reached KKH about 8.50am, I waited for nearly 30 mins for my turn to take blood.. During the process of taking blood, I wanted to make some enquiry about diabetic, therefore, I started to asked the nurse some questions.. But surprisingly, the stupid nurse asked my to shut-up and asked me to listen to her instructions instead and she is so rough during the process of taking my blood.. She told me she will be taking about 1 tablespoon of blood but in the end, she took 1 tube.. Ouch.. pain~~ Followed-by drinking 1 big cup of glucose drink.. she warned me not to vomit, if not, I need to retake the whole test again.. The drink is so so terrible~~ The sweetness cant be imgaine.. Luckily dar is there to accompany me through..

Waited for nearly 2 hrs to take blood again.. This time round, she is even worst, she took my blood next to the 1st time, somemore so rough.. ! whole tube again.. Somemore she can tell me after taking blood, she said I did not stop the wound properly and will turn blue-black the next day.. But luckily, till today, the wound do not have any blue-black, if not I am going to complaint to my gynea..

Now, I am waiting for the test result.. According to the stupid nurse, the test result will be out in 2 days time.. If KKH called me before 31 Dec, means I had diabetic, if not, my gynea will tell me more on my next visit..

Therefore, I hope nothing goes wrong, the hospital do not call me and am crossing my finger cross~~ :x

Christmas 2009 !!

Once again... its Christmas time.. This year, we had gift exchange with the peeps at Old Town White Coffee located at Bt Timah.. It was a fun night chatting away and exchange gifts.. Peeps came with gifts of different sizes and different surprises.. It is a simple gathering for us...

p/s: hope next year around the same time.. i can bring bb out of gift exchange as well.. all of us are waiting patiently and looking forward to the day!!

Week 29 & 3 days check-up

Wow... according to Dr Tham, bb is growing real well and taking in all the good nutriention from my intake.. One main problem now: Bb could be overweight! His minimum weight is 1.2kg and maximum weight is 1.5kg and I maybe get Diabetic due to bb overweight! Upon hearing this, my heart sunk.. I am thinking to myself: how could this things happen?? I am controlling my diet from my last check-up 5 weeks ago and I only gain 1.7 kg.. So now, I need to go to KKH for OGTT and take 2 times of blood.. Though it is not confirm but this is still a precaution.. hiaz..

TIme: 9am - 11am

Things to do to prevent high sugar intake: NO CAKES, ICE-CREAM, CHOCOLATE till bb is born. Gonna forgo these food for 2 months from now!! The food i gotta take now is FISH,LEAN MEAT, VEG AND RICE/POTATO! Though this is a difficult time for me, but for the seek of bb, I am going to perserver during this period of time as I want my bb to be a healthy bb!!

Will hubby accompany me for the blood test?? Praying hard...

Hubby's & Bro B'day Treats

This is a long overdue entry...

No big presents nor grand celebration this year due to tight budget, therefore only treated hubby and bro at One Rochester on 6 Decemeber, Sunday. Though it is a simple dinner, the food there is superb but price is at the high end. I really hope both of them enjoyed the dinner and wishing them all the best in the upcoming year (2010)!
